Por primera vez, el grupo de argentinos liderados por el cardiólogo intervencionista argentino Luis de la Fuente como primer autor del trabajo, junto al estadounidense Simon Stertzer, ambos de Stanford, demuestran con datos concretos que el empleo de células madre autólogas por la vía de abordaje transendocárdica reduce la mortalidad cardiovascular
